Freely Speaking Audio Devotion

Welcome to Freely Speaking, an OHSOFREE devotional ministry where we share our hearts and trust God for transformation.

Today’s devotion was written by Sarah Goff.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NIV).

Can you feel God's protective presence in this verse? God's revelation of Himself as Father is a profound testament to His personal and emotional involvement with each of His children. He intimately knows and cares about our feelings.

As a child, I remember the warmth of God's love in the church my mom and I attended. I still recall the beautiful white stone building with the stunning stained-glass windows. It was a place that felt special, and it was during Sunday School that I learned about Jesus, the Son of God the Father. Over time, I understood that the God of the universe was also my Father. It's still overwhelming to think that God created me and claimed me as His own.

In Isaiah, God reassures His children they need not live in fear because He is with them to strengthen, help, and uphold them. This scripture offers a profound sense of safety and comfort, a reminder that we are never alone and always under the Father’s care.

When we understand God as our Father in a more personal way, we begin to see the depth of His care for us. He has given us a manuscript of His love, the Holy Bible. It is not just a book but a treasure trove of His fatherly advice and guidance, a direct connection to His heart, revealing who He is to us.

The Bible tells us of Jesus and the sacrifice He made. It teaches that the only way to eternity with Him is through accepting Christ Jesus, who died, was buried, and rose again, now sitting at the Father's right hand.

Scripture provides us with God's divine word to guide and assure us that our Creator loves us. As you read the Bible, look for passages that make you feel God’s presence and love for you, and let it draw you closer to Him.
