Our verse for today is found in Philippians 4:7 (ESV) “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

A miracle is “a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.” Have you experienced a miracle before? Many believe a miracle must be something grand, like turning water into wine or parting the Red Sea. But what if miracles also looked like God's hand in everyday struggles that many of us experience?

My husband and I got married on October 23rd, 2015. We were together for almost a year when he proposed. Two years ago, I thought it was finally time to call it quits. After years of arguing, hurt, and struggles that could fill an entire book, it was just too much. I was tired, and I wanted better for both of us and our boys. We had tried just about everything: Counseling, pastoral support, code words, “I feel” statements, and stress management with exercise and self-care. Nothing worked. One day, I decided to start reading my bible DAILY. It was one thing I wasn’t consistently doing, and my husband was not doing it at all. I was desperate for peace in my home, to know God more intimately, and for him to heal the broken places in our lives. We started marriage counseling again, and then a year later, we joined a Christian ministry that has brought even more healing.

In our struggles, God can sometimes be our last resort. What we can’t make sense of, God can! It wasn’t until I let God take control that things began to change. God’s peace has the power to change EVERYTHING, friends. Don’t let God be your last resort. Go to him, and you will find peace that surpasses all understanding. You may even find yourself living out a miracle.
