December 7th, 2022
It’s December! Christmas is only a few weeks away as I write this message. It seems it has been Christmas since early September when all the stores and local shops began setting out the decorations, sales, and everything holiday! Strange, we seem to “celebrate” way before the time is near, and what we “celebrate” is nothing more than buying and buying…it makes me sad.
The birth and life of Jesus are the reason for the season, and I am very thankful that He came down from heaven in the form of a tiny human. I am very thankful that by living in our world, Jesus came to experience every trial and heartache I could ever face. He knows and cares for us so deeply, even if it requires sacrificing himself to save us. Then He came back! Now that is a reason to celebrate Christmas and the life of Jesus!
Jesus said, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NLT.
I cannot express how much celebration my heart feels when I read this scripture. I am a caregiver to my sweet husband, who has Alzheimer’s and Lewy Body disease. I don’t think I could make it even one day without Jesus to call upon. The celebration of Christmas makes me so happy because Christ came, and He is always with me while I walk this journey.
Celebrate Jesus for a gateway to hope, a heavenly intercessor, and a future beyond this earth!
How does the month of December call you to celebrate? How do you go beyond the commercial aspect?

Thank you Debbie, for that beautiful reminder- I have Jesus with me! Sometimes, as I begin the care journey for my mother who has dementia-like symptoms, I forget about Christ being with me. It's easy to get caught up in the all the things I need to do, remember, etc.
Not only that, Christ is still with my mom! Just because she cannot comprehend everything; it doesn't take away her faith in having believed in Christ Jesus as her Savior. Your message reminds me that we have a living hope and mom's condition cannot separate Christ from herself nor from me either.
Thank you Karen and Yes, just clinging to that one thing can get us through a multitude of things. 💜💜💜
Thank you for your testimony Debbie. I know so many people that don't celebrate Jesus at Christmas and I don't understand. I guess I must pray for them and share the hope of Jesus whenever I can
Thank you, Debbie for sharing with us the true reason for celebrating Christmas and every day, because HE is with us! â¤ï¸
Your words are powerful. Thanks for speaking freely about the "reason for this season" Prayers. Anytime...thanks for sharing.
