I felt so alone. Unheard. Unseen. My utter defeat and hopelessness were one of the worst parts of my struggle. It crushed the life from my bones.
One morning I came to some verses in the book of Mark. I’ve read past these verses dozens of times to get to the story that follows. This day, the formerly nondescript verses screamed at me. Jesus said: “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance” (Mark 8:2-3 NIV).
Jesus SAW them. He knew how far they had come. He knew their exact condition. He knew what they needed and their inability to provide for themselves. He saw how far they still had to go. He knew exactly what their journey required. He knew. He also knows me; my condition, how far I’ve come, my inabilities, how far I still have to go, and my needs. He knows me. He won’t leave me here. He feels compassion toward me. His plan provides what I need to get me where I am headed.
Jesus gave me a mission. I am to love Him and love others. My sweet friend, part of my mission is to help you understand that He sees you too. He knows right where you are. He knows how far you’ve come. He knows your condition and inabilities. He knows how far you still have to go and what you need to get there. He feels compassion for you. He has a plan to provide what you need to get there. He cares for you. You are not alone.
Jesus gave you the same mission. Love Him with your whole heart. Show His love to others. Look around. We are surrounded by people that feel alone. Unheard. Unseen. Hopeless. They need to know someone sees them. That someone understands. That someone cares. He wants to use me. He wants to use you. How can we show them?

Laura, perfect timing in my life, and I'm sure many others, for this writing. Thank you so much.
Thank you Debbie. I'm glad God used it! Prayer for you and Al!
Thanks, Laura. I needed this and it brought me to tears. Love it when God's timing supersedes ours.
Thanks Sheree! I'm glad it spoke to you too! I am so grateful God is pretty amazing with the whole timing thing!
Sometimes I am discouraged, there's so much pain, hurting and need in our broken world. How can I do anything at all to help? But then I try to concentrate on one thing, one person, one encouraging comment. And I know whatever I give, the Lord will multiply it just like he multiplied the five loaves and two fish.
This reminds me that Hod will us is in everyday situations. A friendly smile, a kind gesture, a phone call always being open to spread Christ love to others.💜💜💜
