Have you ever heard someone say, “There is freedom in surrender”? How can that be? From a worldly perspective, those two words are contradictory, but through biblical application, they coincide beautifully.
Surrendering can be viewed as a weakness, as not being strong enough or able to fight back. The world tells us that we need to be the one who controls our lives and make our own decisions regarding it. Possessing that power and control is written about in millions of self-help books and celebrated in our everyday society. But the truth is, we are never really in control of anything. We are either slaves to our habitual sinful nature or surrender it to the One in control. One choice serves a loving God who wants what is best for us, and the other leaves us a slave to the enemy, who seeks to destroy us.
Each day is a battle for control or surrender. Continual sin will lead to bondage and defeat. The more we wrestle with our earthly desires, the more enslaved we become. Our savior, Christ Jesus, offers a life of freedom for each of us through the sacrifice He made on the cross. Because of His payment for our sins, we can find peace in surrendering our lives to a God who offers true freedom. Paul writes, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.” (Romans 6:22 NIV)
Have you decided to trust the Lord with your life and salvation? Only He can offer freedom from the bondage of sin. As a Christian woman, is there anything you are holding on to that you need to surrender to Lord? Find freedom and peace in letting it go today.

Andi, this is so good, we all struggle with surrender. I remember an old hymn from when I was growing up, all to Jesus I surrender, I surrender all.
Very good Andi! I definitely struggle with this, thank you for sharing â¤ï¸
Thank you for sharing. I think we all struggle with controlling and letting go and giving it to God and trusting. Love what you are doing. Enjoy the reading.
It's an every day struggle in this life to not listen to the negative voices sent by Satan to make our lives wreaked with insecurities and lie. It imperative that we hold to the truth in Christ. 💜
Surrender. If we're being honest, that word can cause us some discomfort! It certainly has for me! Surrender to the Lord has looked different throughout my life. Early on it was surrendering my bad habits and self destructive behavior. Lately, it looks a whole lot like surrendering my concerns, fears and worries regarding lost loved ones. When will my soul ever learn, He's totally got this????
Thank you sweet sister.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Love you.
This is so good Andi and so true! Thank you for sharing! â¤ï¸
