Let us continue “March-ing” forward and ask ourselves, “What type of giving is good and pleasing to God?”
“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” – (Hebrews 13:16 ESV). This verse, by itself, may seem vague or ambiguous. However, combined with our January topics of prayer and fasting, a clearer picture begins emerging. There is another form of meaningful sacrifice that should be addressed.
Time.
Time spent seeking God in His Presence, with prayer, and reading His Word. Time spent in a Bible study with other Christians discussing His Word and praying for one another.
As I write, I think of all the doctor appointments I manage for my ailing mother and myself. Then I have two part-time jobs to manage, plus teaching Awana at church for preschoolers. My time is stretched thin! Yet, the time I spend with my bible study ladies through OhSoFree has been and continues to be most valuable.
Through my OhSoFree bible study, I met another lady going through a similar situation to what I’m facing with my mother, who has dementia. I can call my Christian sister and ask questions without feeling weird. Sacrificing time I would otherwise spend on household chores or hobbies, while not easily done, has opened up a crucial friendship that is blessing me in ways I didn’t think possible. The time of sharing myself in bible study and fellowship pleases God.
I pray that each woman who reads this blog considers how giving time to God and sharing ourselves with one another brings about more blessings than can be imagined. The sacrifice is worth it.

Karen, I am so blessed to know how much OhSoFree has helped you. Thank you for your testimony. God is faithful. He will provide what we need when we trust Him.
Thank you, Susan😊â¤ï¸
There is a special friendship that forms over studying Gods word together. We are at our most inspired time during Bible study because God is right there in the middle of it!!! I'm so glad that you found a friend that can share in this time of taking care of your mom!! Time is a honor and privilege and In the word with women in the ohsofree facebook page is a blessing!!!!
So very true, Sarah!😊
