Does fear hold you back from being free and believing scriptures that tell you otherwise? Scriptures tell us to “fear not” about 365 times in the Bible. I must remind myself that God wants to give me freedom in this area of my life and continue using the skills I learned through counseling.
The devil will do whatever he can to steal your freedom and keep you in bondage.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10 NIV).
When you are abused terribly at a very young age, and it continues for some years, even into your first marriage, you feel held hostage by fear and think you will never be able to truly feel free. I began to learn God’s word and knew some scriptures addressed “fear not,” but I thought it didn’t apply to me. I was handicapped by fear.
My lifelong struggle to feel free from fear has been a long work that is still in progress. Yes, I believe in Jesus and His promises, but I must constantly remind myself that I don’t have to stay in fear and can be free from it. This is where faith and belief in the power of Jesus and the promises He has made to me hold firm.
Don’t let fear rob you of your freedom in Christ Jesus. It’s not easy when you’ve been wounded. Those scars will never go away, but Jesus tells us, “Fear not,” for He is right there with us even in those darkest days.
Don’t let the rest of your life continue in bondage. Read scripture daily until you believe you can have freedom from fear. If you struggle with debilitating fear, seek a professional to help you navigate those storms.
Jesus wants you to have a full life.

Fear holds us captive in so many ways. I love it that fear not is in the bible 365 time-once for each day!
I was born needed to operations by the age of two. At a very young age the devil started telling me that I was a freak with a big scar and the only girl in the world without a belly button. I thought I'd never get married who would want me when there are so many other women with perfect bodies. I told myself that I'd never have children and I wouldn't live past 40!! It was all lies and God proved it all wrong. Married 2 kids and I'm 63!! We must not believe satans lies!!! God s good!!! Loved your post!💜💜💜 we've all been lied to!!!
