Where does your Joy come from? I have always heard that happiness is from circumstances. Our circumstances can make us happy, sad, miserable, angry, etc.
Life is hard! My life is like a roller coaster at times. I am not a fan of those! I am riding along in that “life car” on the roller coaster rail, and the next, I am falling toward one of the many low areas of my life! I often ask myself; How did this happen? Where did I go wrong? I do not stay in those circumstances or focus on them. Instead, I remind myself that God is in control! He is with me, and He knows what the future holds. I must and should trust in Him! Just because I might focus on my circumstances does not mean I have lost my joy. My Joy is still with me because God is still with me!
Joy is rejoicing and being glad.” …the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10b ESV). The term strength here means a place of safety or protection. This verse gives me much joy! No matter the circumstances of my life, I can be joyful in the Lord! He alone is my protector, my strength, my Father!
Where does my Joy come from? JESUS! Jesus is my Joy. I hope Jesus is your joy. You can always find your rest in Him. He brings peace, love, and Joy! The most important gift He brings is eternity with Him. I pray that you know him as your savior so you will experience the Joy he can provide.
May your days be filled with the Joy of Jesus!

Thanks for sharing Lisa! I used to think having a man in my life to take care of me would make me happy. Now I know things of this world only bring temporary pleasure, but being with Jesus lasts forever!
Thank you for your words, Lisa. They helped me take my eyes off the circumstances and realize that even though I may not FEEL joyful I can HAVE joy because the GOD who is source of true Joy is with me.

This really reminds me that God is our compass through all our emotions and that he brings us back to joy when our focus is on him. He is always with us! Loved this!!💜💗💗
