Have you ever experienced a “night” moment in life? A time when you felt joy was gone, and darkness surrounded you. Maybe the death of a loved one, a sickness in your body, or a wayward child has led you to weep. Will the weeping ever stop?
It will stop! Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) declares, “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” This scripture has encouraged me in some of the darkest moments of my life and has stood the test of time. For every gloomy night I have experienced, there was a greater joy waiting in the morning.
No matter how difficult the circumstances, a new day will always come. Just as in the physical world, it is the same in the spiritual world. Your “night” season will not last forever. Unfortunately, we cannot control how long the pain will last. But we can wait eagerly for the Lord to refresh our souls with the promised joy.
I pray that your faith carries you during your time of weeping. Hold on and rest in His arms. Permit yourself to cry during this nighttime hour. Don’t feel guilty, but also don’t lose hope. The good news is that these troubles won’t last forever. The darkness will soon pass; morning is on the horizon!
How can we pray for you specifically if you are in a “night” season of weeping?
